We are happy to inform that our E kavi Bangalore members have today handed over the Online Petition to Hon Minister Sri. P G R Scindia.

EKAVI has made a request to Hon. Minister PGR. Sindhya, Minister for Industries to adopt Dr. Sarojini Mahishi Report. It also discusses the issue of Dr. Nanjunadappa Report to be adopted. It brought out points that there so many Engineering Graduates are coming out from Engineering Colleges with out knowing proper Kannada and out of State people are being given jobs by companies in Karnatka State.

The Minsiter has promissed that they will consider this and will call for a meeting to discuss how to adopt this report.

E Kavi Effect: Cabinet Sub Committe formed for evaluate failure in implementation of Dr.Mahishi

The relentless pressure being applied by E Kavi has resulted a good development: A cabinet sub committee under leadership of Shri.Dhram Singh has been formed after 13 years.

The government has accepted the of failure of successive governments for getting jobs for kannadigas and assured to legislate a law to ensure implementation.

E Kavi has been able to do this by confronting the high and mighty of GOK with relevant data which proves that even after 13 years of acceptance of Dr.Mahishi recommendations and subsequent issue of government orders, the migrant dominated bureaucracy has sabotaged each and every order.

We hope this will not reduce into a cover up for migrant bureaucrats.The sub committe only needs to dismiss the buraucrats who have failed in their duties alloted 13 years back, to ensure this will not be repeated in future.

Last year EKAVI had met with MINISTER Sindhya and made presentation to him about the Dr Sarojini Mahishi Report Recommending Jobs For Kannadiga Sons of the Soil.

C.N.R. Rao suggests authority to monitor balanced growth of city





BANGALORE: To safeguard the interests of Kannadigas, the State Government will consider implementing the recommendations of the Sarojini Mahishi report, Industries Minister P.G.R. Sindhia said here on Sunday.

At a function organised by the Udayabhanu Kalasangha to release "Bangalore Darshan", a book on the history of Bangalore, the Minister regretted that the city is losing its "Kannada identity" in the wake of globalisation.

"Kannadigas are not getting enough jobs because of globalisation. We are even losing our identity and we should not allow this to happen. This is what the Sarojini Mahishi report has pointed out. So the Government is considering implementing the recommendations made in the report," the Minister said.

A Cabinet Sub-Committee has been set up to study the recommendations made in the Sarojini Mahishi report, Mr. Sindhia said.

"The implementation of the report has become most essential now than ever before," the Minister said.

ACTIVITIES of EKAVI

EKAVI needs more support from Kannadigas.
EKAVI is furthering the Kannada Software Development issues with GOK.
EKAVI is working on OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT with several people and Universities.
EKAVI is furthering the GOK School Adoption Program. We need more kannadigas come forward and sponsor some of these on small scales.
EKAVI is associating with other groups to work on several projects in Karnataka State.
EKAVI has taken email campaign on several issues related to KANNADA that are raised in the group.
EKAVI has taken letter campaign to different companies in Bangalore regarding Kannada Language issues.
EKAVI is working with KRIA forum to educate Kannadigas about their RIGHTS to KNOW the INFORMATION from GOK.
EKAVI is working with associations and Individuals on KANNADAIGARIGE KARANATAKADALLI UDYOGA AVAKASHAGALU.
EKAVI will follow up with GOK on Dr. Sarojini Mahishi Report. This needs to be done to PROTECT JOBS for KANNADIGAS.
